I wanna give you a secret tip. I’ve never seen a my body do this besides me but in those older Yota’s with the exterior bed hooks you can connect a Military surplus pup tent to it. The loops on the tent line up almost perfect allowing you to setup a tent right in your bed. My and my buddy would drive up to the mountains and make breakfast on the tailgate then sit in the tent until the mountain opened to go snowboard. Such good times

Sadly my bed doesn’t come with hooks. I was actually looking into doing something like that but I guess I’m going to have to find an alternative.

@@Streetstyle21 if your willing to install hooks on the inside of the bed it might still work too

I absolutely love your rig. Fantastic attention to detail and period correct parts. Those KC lights are bitchin! My first truck/car was a 2wd single cab 93 pickup so that platform will always be near and dear to my heart. I recently got a 2wd 2019 Tacoma SR. It’s a work truck trim so it’s very basic but it feels like a updated version of my 93. I’m not into the latest and greatest tech gimmicks. Give me a simple Toyota and I’m happy. I’ve also owned a 78 single cab, 89 Camry, 01 Sienna and drove my fathers 96 t-100 when is as younger too. I’m so happy to have inherited the love of Toyota from my late father.

Love to hear it man!! Funny enough this is my first car as well, been working on her ever since my sophomore year of high school. My older brother used to have an 83 4wd and that thing was so fun on the trails. Mind you it was slow as expected with a carbureted four cylinder but it was peppy enough to bring smiles to both of our faces. I agree with the simplicity too. There’s nothing like driving a truck with only the basics. I do wish it had AC sometimes but I get by just fine with wing windows. But that’s what it’s all about. It gives the car character, something new cars don’t bring to the table anymore. #yotasneverdie

What would it cost to lift my 2wd like this?
@Streetstyle21

I probably spent around 750 with shocks, spacers, and tires.

Sick truck man, where’d you get the spacer kit for the front?

What spacers are you running and are they hard to install?
@Streetstyle21
@Streetstyle21 8 месяцев назад
The spacers go in relatively easy. I also added a little bit of torsion bar lift to give it a bit more lift (about an inch or so) which also means you’re most likely going to want an alignment right after the lift. Here’s a link to the spacers I used!! www.supremesuspensions.com/products/1985-1998-toyota-ifs-pickup-front-suspension-lift-kit-2wd-4x2

@@Streetstyle21 these spacers are for 2-3 inch lift but they don’t give you that much lift ? I’d like to add about 2-3 solid inches
@Streetstyle21
@Streetstyle21 7 месяцев назад
@@henryanaya8459 I’m sure they make larger spacers but the taller you go the more travel your going to lose (I think at least I’m not a mechanic) I think fabtech still makes a proper lift for these 2wds. Lower control arms and all that good stuff.
