Hector Camacho was in my opinion the most raw talented boxer of the past 45 years after just a few like Mike Tyson, Roy Jones jr. He became a three time world champion WHILE doing drugs from day one of training. Let that sink in. That’s how talented The Macho Man was! If he had never done recreational drugs he would’ve gone much farther for sure. RIP champ.
CAMACHO CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED WHAT A SMART, SLICK, AND EVASIVE BOXER HE TRULY WAS IN HIS PRIME. HE ALSO HAD KNOCK OUT POWER IN HIS PUNCHES WHEN HE CHOSE TO SLUG IT OUT. HE WAS UNDERRATED THRU OUT HIS CAREER AS A GREAT BOXER FIGHTER. HE WAS REALLY QUITE A GREAT SIGHT TO SEE HIM FIGHT IN HIS EARLY YEARS. MAY HE REST IN ENTERAL PEACE.
I don't think people really understood what a great chin Camacho had, Chavez, Trinidad, Oscar, Rosario, Boza, Ramirez, down against only Oscar and Reyes Cruz....if ever a fighter changed in one night it was he, RIP
Camacho moved side to side & changed direction like a dream, but he was never appreciated when he fought this way, because he took all the drama out of a fight. Definitely an elite talent.
This was Camacho at his absolute best. In and out like a bolt of lightning, and could shock you just as quick. The lightweight years (130-140 lbs) were his best.
Few realize that before camacho was a boxer, he was a black belt in karate and competed. There was no money in martial arts at the time so he went into boxing. His problem was the bad habits he picked up and couldn't shake loose. 80s.
this fight marked the beginning of the decline of Camacho. Rosario scared him in his previous fight and he altered his style. He still was slick enough to beat Boza. I wish Boza had fought Bramble on this card, and Rosario fought Camacho in a rematch. Boza would have had a shot against Bramble.
@@teodorocortes5306 Please that's the problem with you Mexicans. Ya could throw a punch but don't have fast feet. To keep up with skilled boxers. Who fast with their feets and hands.
This was a tremendous division and both of these fighters were top level and produced some of the truly great fights of the day. I believe they both had major problems. For Boza it was Mickey mouse pushing him along too fast against too skilled oponents. For Camacho a simple matter of poor conditioning. Anyone agree?
Camacho was absolutely one of the best ever. Unfortunately, for him he was not exactly a knockout puncher and so he was not able to thrill a crowd in that way. When Sugar Ray Leonard made a return to boxing he faced Camacho and looked totally like he was getting a lesson in boxing.
Come now, you know good and well, Sugar Ray Leonard was way past his prime by then and came out of retirement to fight Camacho. Sugar Ray Leonard would have destroyed Camacho in his prime.
@@enriquemontanez8916 If Camacho had moved up to welterweight to fight Leonard in his prime, Leonard would've won easily, also Camacha voided Pernell Whitaker, who would have also won easily
@@clintonhouston1048 he never avoided anyone they just can't handle Macho speed. And Leonard would never won easy against Macho. Camacho can take a punch not Ray Leonard.
This is the first time I ever saw Macho. Became a huge fan. But, looking back I believe he was a good champ, nothing great! For all his razzle and dazzle he was a very tough man!
When does the fight start? When Camacho quits running? How can anyone win a round when theyre running all the time? I'm not watching any more Camacho fights. He's proving he's no match for Boza because he wont stand and fight. 👎
So Camachos supposed to just stand in front of Boza and let Boza beat on him?? Seems to me that you’re favorite fighter was forced to look average by a superior boxer. If you knew anything about boxing, you would know that fights are partially scored by ring generalship. Boza simply didn’t want it bad enough or have the athletic ability to box and keep up with camachos quick hands and feet. How can you fault Camacho for utilizing his natural advantages. Camacho was tagging him all night on the outside with the same jab and Boza kept running into it. That’s his fault for not adjusting.
The dumbest thing you said is the he has power. And you want to exchange knowing he has more power than you. Know wonder you don't understand my point nigga.
