Moments like these are what make some of the best nostalgic memories of kids just being kids playing without a care in the world. How I wish I could go back in time. I miss those days 😊❤❤❤

I was feeling sorry for kids today thinking that with the technology they own today they would be sitting at home and playing games with friends over the internet. My dad passed away in 2019 but before he got sick he would sit on his front porch every day. He lived in a nice neighborhood and one day he said “You know what I miss hearing.” I asked him what and he said the sounds of children playing and laughing outside, riding their bikes and such. I had to agree b/c when I was a child, parents didn’t have to worry nearly as much as they do nowadays. Kids played outside almost every day. We’d be gone for hours romping through the woods, riding bikes, playing hopscotch, stomping mud puddles after a good rain, making mud pies. The list goes on and on about just simple fun. Then around <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="300">5:00</a> I’d hear my mom yelling for me to come eat dinner. Great memories. This world has just gotten progressively more dangerous and parents worry a lot more for their children’s safety from other people but when kids can do outdoor activities instead of perhaps gaming all day or staying on their phones it’s great for their minds to get fresh air and they get physical exercise too. These two look like they’re having such a great time. It’s the way life should be for our children. Being outdoors is meant for our enjoyment.

Reminds me of when I was a kid in the 60’s and 70’s. We played outside all day till the sun went down. Makes me happy seeing these youngsters playing outside and not on phones all day or video games. Life was so carefree back then. 👍👏😊

We used to do this with a car in the irrigation canals in Northern CA during the early 70's. We had runs of several hundred yards. it was long before they fenced everything.

Love this! Reminds me of my childhood when every kid spent the majority of their time outside during summer vacation. We weren’t glued to a phone or device. We were out getting sun(which is why vitamin D deficiency was not a thing when I was growing up), and getting exercise. We used our imagination and had to resourceful and creative with our games. Miss those days!
