I k-loved hearing what oldies 98.7 KLUV was back in the 80's. first heard that station in about 2004 or 2005.

This Is Recorded In 1987. In 1987, WZKX started broadcasting at its 1,400-foot (430 m) tower in McHenry, Mississippi, and became a Top 40 hits outlet as Power 108 for South Mississippi until a 1994 switch to country as Kicker 108.

I remember hearing Power 108 WZKX, WABB, and WQID when I was in Biloxi for the US Air Force. It definitely brings back some memories.

Ah yes the original 106.1 KISS FM (KTKS) before it became The Oasis (New Age/Smooth Jazz) in either 87 or 88 and then back to KISS FM (KHKS) in 92.

WABB-FM did not switch frequencies. WYOK-FM became WABD-FM immediately after WABB-FM stopped broadcasting before switching from 104.1 megacycles to 97.5 megacycles.

dallas, the epicenter of the jingle industry! now you got LA and seattle, used to be memphis, WA state took that spot, but nothing tops all like D-A-L-L-A-S, T-E-X-A-S!

dude! i forgot that some Mobile stations can reach the watts out to biloxi/gulfport! ZKX was the bomb back then, now it's a country station in Bay Saint Louis. hopefully in the near future they may change it to a classic hits station and go back to its "power" days. the first things i ever heard of gulfport on radio were "casino magic," "treasure bay/isle," or something like that, "imperial palace," "boomtown", and "grand casino"
