You know, you could just play this on a loop and listen when stuck in rush hour traffic and/or when going to bed- this is incredibly and unexpectedly soothing.
I sure miss the old radio station identifications and programs..sweet nostalgia..my favorites in San Francisco were KKHI (classical) and KABL (easy listening) !!!
Awhile ago I move to Lakeport, California and I turn on my radio and someone had set it to 1270 KXBX and there was a radio show called Moran in the morning, Bill Moran formally of KABL. Talk about coming home ;). Thank you for saving them and shairing them with us.
Yes, but not on this particular aircheck. I've been googling to try and determine the name (and face) of who IS heard here; I recall he also hosted an early afternoon movie on Channel 27 WKBN-TV--his successor in that job was Rich Morgan but I still can't recall the name behind that voice I remember so well.
Some random mmories: Back in my high school years, there were 3 rock stations that were popular, 92.3 KSJO, 94.9 KSAN & 98.5 KOME. Remember the news guy on KYUU (99.7) Gil something? I remember him always saying at the end of his nwscasts "So now you know". Last memory: Anyone remember KYA??? Pop quiz: What frequencies was KYA on?
