If I remember correctly the story with Danner's switch from Arrows to Osella was a bit unfortunate for everyone involved. I think BMW and Osella had an financial agreement to get Christian released from his contract. All that was missing was Enzo Osella's signature under the release-contract. Once in Montreal Danner's manager went to Enzo to get the signature, but wanted to discuss the amount of money once again. Enzo, without anything to loose, refused to sign, and by the time the manager finally accepted to stick with the original agreement it was to late. Danner, who already sat in the Arrows had to get back to Osella.
I think Colombia weren't able to host the 1986 World Cup because they had a bad earthquake in 1985 as well as Mexico. Or did i get that wrong?? As for Group B rallying, the Tour of Portugal would basically be the final nail. After the car ploughing into the crowd at the side of the course. It was getting really dangerous, crowd wise.
We can just say that we've had the turbo bit and 1989 onwards is the tantrums part!! 😂😂. Especially with Japan in 1989 and 1990 and that's just for starters!!
