Thank you Professor Bailey (again) The ‘80s was my time (born in ‘67) and such a special era. Such rapid and radical changes to bikes. Back then I was lucky if they televised 1 MX and 1 SX race all year which seems criminal looking back. Just know that you’re appreciated my friend. 👍😁
RJ was unbelievable on that Honda. A real clash of the Titans there! Such a variety of bike quality and rider styles. The Yamaha Glover was on was a world behind those Hondas.

Tremendous race I’ve never seen before. It seems a bit cliche to reference almond farming when talking about George Holland but I just can’t help myself. The pit bull award goes to Wardy on this day. He just was so determined to leave the opening race of the year with the points lead. One mistake by RJ and he would have. Really good stuff Gary Bailey. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing these Gary, i only got to see the races in the US mags as i live in the UK, so good to see the races....Easy to see how fast David was here, just didn't gate well.
I can’t believe they could go that fast with that suspension.them Bikes just blow threw the stroke and bounce around like Pogo sticks. To bad they Didn’t know the modern day of today shim stack.... Honda’s were the bikes to be on back than. They look much better than the rest. Good stuff ..
