Never understood what happen to the Champion Spark Plug series later becoming International Sedan sponsored by Luk Clutch. Especially with the forthcoming of the whole Sport Compact movement of the 90's/early 00's. I think the main reason was the changes at IMSA that put the focus on the main series and not the support series. Also SCCA losing it's way with it's professional series. I agree we have been spoiled by live road racing around the world but it could be taped delayed on RU-vid just as easily if not MavTV and other outlets.
What's Bobby Archer in? A Cavalier? Agreed about support races. I enjoyed IMSA Firehawk as a kid, myself. The IMSA Pilot series is still cool, but somewhat more heavily modified, IIRC.
My 1986 Dodge Shelby Charger turbo, 1986 Dodge Daytona turbo Z and 1987 Shelby GLH-S has never had a single Mitsubishi part in it. They share no parts. Even their turbochargers were Garretts. What are you talking about?
