1986 had a LOT of changes and is a great year to understand. New interior, fewer engines (all of which are now fuel injected) and a host of other features make this a critical year to understand!
There were so many choices for small trucks in the 80's, unlike today, no compact truck available in the U.S. market, I would take that over any new truck today.
