I’m grateful, super grateful to have these wonderful 1980s IndyCar races to watch but why in the world was so much cut out of this race? We didn’t even get to the halfway point and then all of a sudden we are racing to the finish? We didn’t even get to see Mario Andretti’s crash in turn one...
"why in the world was so much cut out of this race?" because NBC only showed a hour highlight show for the race. i don't think they ever did flag to flag for pocono like they did for michigan when they had both races.
@@xSoccerxCorexincorrect. They went flag to flag in 1985 and 1986. I know they didn’t in 1987, although that was ESPN but I have this entire race on videotape, and it wasn’t cut this badly, and it shows Mario’s wreck in turn one. So again I ask, if you’re going to post a race as it was broadcasted, WHY cut out so much of the original coverage? I know my stuff.
Indycar has posted 1987 Indy500 in May. Some of their videos are not listed on youtube and only visible throug indycar.com-vidoe page. So check Indycar site.
