As a Scotsman from the Lockerbie area, I can only wish the worst for the man.

Whats crazy is that my aunt was supposed to be on this flight but something stopped her idk if it was a gut feeling or she missed it

My family and I are from Dumfries and Galloway and we live very close to Lockerbie. I wasn't born at the time of the bombing, but my dad said that he heard the explosion from our house and thought that there had been a gas explosion or something. My Gran took part in preparing food for the brave souls who had to clean up the area. I know a lot of stories from that tragic day; all horrifying and unimaginable. My father knew a lot of the locals who were effected and some who were killed. When I saw the footage of people flying the Scottish flag in Libya after the man who created bomb was released and flown back there, it made me sick to my stomach. No hate towards Libya, of course, it's not the peoples' fault. It also made me despise the British government even more for allowing his release, as if a tragedy in Scotland isn't worth fighting for justice (or at least that's how it feels). He was allowed to return home because he had cancer. Well I'm sorry but, that makes no difference to those who lost their family and friends - both in Lockerbie and those poor souls aboard the flight.
