1988 Lombard RAC Rally (day five, late) 

Great to remember, was an amazing rally, Markku miles ahead then miles behind and all seemed lost then suddenly 3 minutes in the lead and wins! Love the RAC! Thanks for uploading!

Harrogate - I was there! Lived in Bramhope which is just over the valley. And yes it was cold - I had my Berghaus OB coat on and long johns :) Good times. Thanks for the videos VHS - working through them.

Fantastic 52 stage marathon. Those were the days eh? Brilliant!

Closing titles (from 16:34) remain one of my favourite non-BHP rally montages, really nicely edited. This was the first RAC I can remember watching, and I recall being completely spellbound by the sheer scale of the event. Thanks as ever for the continued uploads!

Poor Hannu - really dejected. Enjoyed seeing Alen powering through Wykeham. It's worth noting that unless you heard who the winner was by word of mouth or on the radio driving back home (and radio coverage of rallying in the day was very poor) then this edition of the Rally Report was one you were itching to see when you got back in. Interested to know if the footage in Dalby was anywhere near the Woodyard? In subsequent rallies e.g. Cartel seem to remember this was the defacto location for filming/spectating as cars came through twice - maybe someone here remembers.
