49ers fan here since 86 but always liked the pats and those cool unis..everybody loved flutie, of course. fryar and Morgan were sick! tippet is a living legend..wish the pats would go back to those colors.
I'm afraid you may not have liked us that much if Berry hadn't hated and insanely benched Flutie so we missed the playoffs. We beat the Bengals and Bears and had more playoff and Super Bowl experience than anyone in the AFC postseason, and if the right decision had been made (like Belichick in 2001 keeping the kid in there who would go on to set records and win titles) we could have ruined Coach Walsh's last game.
@@robfloyd7389 ha ha! spoken like a true pats fan! 49ers were a team of destiny that year. they only won 10 games but turned it on when they had to. hard to believe anyone could have stopped them. pats were a fun team tho. I never realized they had all this firepower on that squad! I agree, horrible decision to bench flutie- they could have done some damage in the playoffs!
pound for pound the best unis in the 80s! I also liked the Seahawks and Bucs unis for different reasons. but every team had nice unis. not like today! we can blame the '97 broncos for starting this BS
It’s funny. My uncle took me to training camp... not many fans there. We got to talk to Raymond Berry for a while. I didn’t know who Berry was at the time
Week 14 vs. Seahawks was my first Patriots game(attended). I do remember it was very cold and Irving Fryar getting injured in the 3rd quarter but sprinting out of the locker room in the 4th.
i agree for a team that beat probably the two best AFC Superbowl contenders that yr in the playoffs ..one that actually BEAT the Bears that yr ..yeah it had to be hard ...
