The stress?? Speak for yourself. An owner of these probably drove them for many years and therefore see that as no more stressful than driving any other car. Doing surgery might be stressful for a first time medical student but definitely isn't for a seasoned surgeon. See my comparison? As for the stress of driving this car, there might be some stress involved but purely physical and not psychological. You see these cars didn't have power steering, assisted clutch or any kind of driver aids. The gearshift is hard, the steering heavy and the air-condition nearly useless. This meant that the driver cabin becomes hot like a sauna. Comfortable it is not. And this is also why their owners rarely drove them in city traffic but stuck to cool, summer days on lightly trafficked roads. As for magnificent. Define "magnificent". Magnificent engineering, magnificent technology or magnificently successful in racing? Nah, we both know that you're utterly oblivious to these things. To you it's simply magnificent looking. But that's akin to assessing the acting abilities of an actress by staring at her breasts and saying:"She is magnificent". Arbitrary assertions backed up by nothing valid is the hallmark of an ignoramus. "I have always loved this car that rocked my childhood." And you also... I suspect, with a reasonable level of certainty... have never really developed much beyond your childhood. Your comment alone speaks volumes of what level you're on. But by all means *project* your own myopic perception, psychological stress and childhood ignorance to your heart's content. For it is clear that you, like a child, are utterly unable to perceive any other perspective than your own. "I can imagine the stress that the driver must have" How do you even know this? By using yourself as the only measure. How old are you again? In psychology there is this distinction between only perceiving surface markers but failing to understand the underlying structure.
