1989 Box Chevy Build Ep.34 Building A Killer AMP Rack!!! 

Nah that’s to much work i’m going for a simple clean setup. once the subs go in this amp rack won’t be seen!

plus the amp rack will be resting on the wires and would create problems for mounting it in the car! people usually hide the wires under platform amp racks mine it not a platform setup

​@SouthSideNate bro that I'd a lot of work and if there is a wiring issue you would have to remove the entire rack to find it.

I think it looks better with the wires showing, as long as they are neat. If you watch 5 Star Car stereo, its all accessible from the component board/panel.

The way I did mine is I used cut off pcs from making the amp rack and just glued little squares of 3/4" mdf under the amp rack and it created enough space so the wires wouldn't be smashed under the rack and then the only part of the wires you seen was the few CLEAN inches of where the wires come through the rack and go into the amps. So I still had to zip tie like you did but ya didn't see all those wires. I used zero g. Wires too. So put little spacers of 3/4" wood on the underside to make space for the wires. You would like the looks even more 100% I know don't nobody wanna redo it but you would be happier with results.

Never want to do that. You want to use the set screw to crimp it. That way the ferrule conforms to the hole and crimps the wire at the same time

Negative!! it would create problems for mounting it in the car, it’s not a platform amp rack it’s designed to mount flat to the trunks floor

I do my research on everything i do and the technique i used is perfectly fine. why buy another tool when the screw on the amp will work just fine.
