Love the video man, watched it from beginning to end. I felt for you while knocking the trailing arm Bushing sleeve out. Time for a bushing puller kit!
Really enjoying your vids man. Spent most of the day watching the CRX restore. I've been spending my weekends for the last 6 months restoring a 88. you've given me a few good ideas to try next.
Awesome job! That is good to know about the drilled and slotted rotors! I was gonna get a set just really for the looks but knowing some places wont resurface them that is good to know lol. Great job man! CRX is coming out amazing!
The crx is coming along! I guess im not the onlyone having mishaps! I ran brand new brakelines on my hatch today and right when im fhreading the last line into the prop valve.. the prop valve decides to strip the threads 😅
Too late now but those trailing arm bushings come out the opposite way. Few hits would have done it in the other direction. Like this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3Dt1gMrkFoU.html or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xCXaoYlBLn0.html
I think you can still swap the hubs just remove the 4 torx bolts on the back of the trailing armrs and swap, no ebrake bracket needed. Cars looks good man ..
Ouch! That pain of the hammer to your hand is unexplainable x 2 😩. Love the garage space. Not that you need a large one for a crx but it nice, big and clean. Btw I had the same 4dr eg auto (color too) that I swapped a b18c into. Got stolen a year after the swap 🙁
Didn't know you made videos , good stuff here . Those are some nice CRX's , unfortunately I found out about that rear disk conversion for the drums after I purchased the oem rear disks off someone already . I would have purchased this kit if I couldn't find the oem rear disks , It would've been more cost effective also lol. At least I can always convert my drums to disk now if I ever needed to with this kit. subscribed
Those scarebird brackets are meant to use 94-00 integra rotors calipers and brackets so that could be the reason why you need the spacers. I’ve had to do rta bushings on 2 97 civics and my 90 crx so I know that pain all to well my friend.
Just an FYI for the future, if you turn your trailing arms over, those bushings will practically fall out after a couple hits with the hammer. Also, the DA hubs bolt right to the crx trailing arms, you just have to remove the large center bolt and the torx bolts, no conversion bracket necessary. :)
I haven't done it myself but when I did a rear disk conversion on my 97 civic the shop that did it had to use heat to loosen a couple of them up. (Had to replace the trailing arm because one of them from my kit was bent). You would probably need a good impact gun too.
The CRX is already so light, but disk brakes all around will be even better! Great videography here too. What camera and editing software are you using?
Great content! Hopefully you’ll respond to this But what caliper and e brake cable did you use, I know on the description it says to source the caliper e brake and proportioning valve off the 97 teg, but I just wanted to check what parts you ran, sorry if I didn’t catch it in the video
you said you have DA rears on the 88? I assume you also used the DA cables? any issues with routing seeing as they are 8 inches longer than the CRX? I have a pair of del sol cables (CRX are MIA good luck) which are 60" instead of the CRX 58". picked up a set of scarebirds after watching this, all im missing is a pair of calibers. I assume your using DAs? do you know if EG/EK ex are the same? those are pretty plentiful in the AM
@@crxseth thats great. Mine is a 90 HF and I have a SI valve on the way I also have the Scarbird bracket, new rotors and pads. So I guess all I need do is mount those on the trailing arm mount proportioning valve and head my ass to Fla where it warm.......lol
Dude IF U don't want those driled rotors I'll take?? I don't no what to offer u but I at least have shipping costs don't throw them away let me No??? 😎😎😎
