i not only love the old LTD Vic but i gotta say your outfit is onpoint 🤣Business on top And summertime relaxation on the bottom. Tropical Spongebob is great🤣
I just came Across Your Channel & was Surprised to find a Ford Crown Vic. It's Hard to Find a Ford up For Sale as Most Panthers are Grand Marquis or Town Car so just a Crown Vic in my Opinion should Sell for Top Dollar as they are Hard to Find & in Such incredible Condition should Surpass the Mercury Price Range My Dad bought New an 1981 Marquis Brougham Coupe ( Brougham being the Middle Trim Package ) as Back then the Grand Marquis was the Top Trim Package & Marquis Being Base Model. Not sure You are Aware But the 2 Doors Marquis & Crown Vic's where extremely Rare wen New. In 1981 for Example Ford & Mercury only Built just under 3000 Units as apposed to 30-40.000 4 Door's. My Dad Never Realized He at the Time owned Such a Rare Car. Back to this Black Crown Vic I would just take a Guess of its Worth Should be in $20.000 Range. My Dad's 81 Merc as he called it was 1,st Vehicle he bought that Crossed the $10.000 Price Point. You've got a Real Fine Example in Extraordinary Condition !
Never mind the 150hp....it still has 270lb/ft of torque at a very low rpm that only have to rotate 15" aluminum wheels and drag 3,800lbs. So it's not as bad people think. It doesn't need a bunch of power, it weighs less than any late model muscle car 😂
When he talks about this V8 being low performance, you have to keep in mind that V8 engines like the 5.0 liter in this car were bulletproof. These were not high compression engines that run hot and develop mechanical problems, like a modern V6 with 250 hp or the tiny 1.5 liter 4 cylinder turbo engines or the V8s of today with cylinder deactivation. The V8 engine in this car was perfect! 16 valve, overhead valve pushrod design. Old school but with computerized electronic fuel injection. This engine had great torque and didn't have to work hard. Worry free!
My Dad had an 1981 Mercury Marquis Brougham that He Absolutely Loved. My Dad was a Total Ford Guy & in 1981 Finally moved upward to the Mercury Brand & his 81 Merc was his 1st ever Vehicle that Cost over $10.000. Dad always wanted a Lincoln Town Car But the Mercury Satisfied his Lincoln itch that He Drove the Mercury for 11 years Surpassing his Normal New Car every 2-3 years.
Beautiful car! Those old 5.0's have such a distinctive start up sound, I can identify it everytime! lol The later 4.6L also sounds very distinctive, glad they kept the tradition.
I drive a Land Rover now that known for its comfort thanks to the air suspension and I still think about my 02 Crown Vic. The Panther platform is just that good when it comes to driving comfort and highway cruising, it drives like nothing else on the road today.
I had an 89 that was a NCSP car. It had the 351W. It was a fun car. I didn’t have the wing windows on mine. I thought 88 was the last year for them. Neat cars!
This was my first panther I owned, it's a malise Era car, but I'm sure there's a couple things you could do to bring the power up!! Great job bringing this car back!!👍👍 There all classics...
Currently have a beautiful 2007 Signature Limited and love it. Some years ago I had an 89 Crown Victoria LX in white with identical red velvet interior. Love the optional formal roof 😍
@@LimitedEditionMotorcars Glad you responded. I tried to get back and couldn't find you. Where are you located and what are you asking for the 89 Crown Vic? I MAY be interested. Would be a second car for me and don't need it. BUT. . . Up front don't have a lot of cash . Would like to hear back. Thanks!
My owned on. The driving experience was as you said, a sofa. These cars are getting harder to find and are rarily seen now (this includes later generation models too). Living about an.hour from St Thomas where these cars where built. It is gone now and in a away losing a bit of build quality (frame on body) cars that newer ones lack now.
This Ford is in Spectacular Condition. I Find it Do Hard to Find the Crown Vic Nearly impossible to find in any Condition as the Grand Marquis & Town Cars are Everywhere if Looking to find one For Sale.
I remember saying no more of these cars but then a nice one comes up for the right price that you can do the repairs yourself and you have a car for the next 5 to 10 years a reliable car. Yes with usual maintenance repairs but that's every car.
I was hung up on those Metro vans about 8 years ago. Found some really unique ones, original, but glad I did not go buy them. Still...great looking vans.
I have yet to see a black one with red interior this is amazing. Just picked up the 89 LTD 5.0 EFI and my mom loves red and black so I wanna do the same thing!! Any recommendations on repairs before they fail?
Hi again, can you please help me!!! 😢😭😭 I have a automatic 1989 Ford Crown Victoria LTD 5.0 302, I have the EFI version if that matters. I need a fuel pump and assembly but every single one on every site Ford included has parts MISSING. Which specific complements should I absolutely be getting? I have the pump that goes in the tank. For example there are assemblies that have no fuel pressure sensor, wiring harness, sending unit etc. They are all missing something.
I am not sure what you are asking me here. I do not know what comes or does not come with the fuel pump that you are trying to purchase. If you want the proper part, get one from a Ford dealer.
@@briizcustoms9543 Green Sales has 13 OEM fuel pumps in stock. Part number D6OZ9350A. Google "Green Sales," give them a call for a price. They ship worldwide.
@@LimitedEditionMotorcars You have any suggestions on what fuel pumps brand to stay away from? I thought Delphi was good then I read some reviews, thought A-premium was good…..then I read some reviews 😭😭.
@@LimitedEditionMotorcars They are tanks. I hit a full grown deer once in one at 60 MPH, head on. The front of the car barely had any damage. Hit a deer in today's cheaply made cars and your car would be totaled.
