I bought my 89 Bird 20 yrs ago with 60,000+ on it and still have it to this day with 136,000+ ....looks and drives like the day I first got it. I no,longer drive it daily because I own two other cars and have no time to play with it. I love the Bird and I will never let it go!
that car is better then a lot of todays cars it haves more of a pointed front end for better air fowl ...the Thunder Bird was the best car ....i love the 1987 Thunder Bird
ya my aunt has a 1995 jetta and that has been trouble same with my cousin her jetta is a 1996 and that has been trouble to so that just goes to show vw can be crap thats why i stay away form them plus the parts and very expensive to buy because people never just give them to junk yards
I've had several Thunderbirds in my life. But my first MN12 T-Bird was a 1993 Sport with the EFI HO 302 V-8 engine. It also had a power moon roof, digital instrument cluster, and 4-wheel disc brakes. I really miss that car. Since then I've been through 3 Lincoln Mark VIIIs and now I'm back to an MN12 T-Bird again. I have a 1997 LX with the 4.6L SOHC V-8. It's a very nice car.
I have a 95 thunderbird with a 4.6 and I just bought an aftermarket all aluminum radiator and now it's runs at below normal temperature! I'm getting a cold air intake next month. That car is a sleeper and I've even smoked a few mustangs!
I'm not too sure if I've got any Cougar stuff. But you should check out bajabusta's videos. I just subscribed to them and he has TONS of awesome MotorWeek reviews from the early '90s! Including a review of the 1991 T-Bird and Cougar with the 5.0 V8
