Apple Cup 1990 was played in Pullman, Washington on November 17th. Keith Shipman and Ken Woody provided the commentary for the broadcast.
The University of Washington Huskies came in to this game as one of the best teams in the country. However, they had just lost the previous week to UCLA, a loss with national title implications as their ranking dropped from #2 to #10.
Washington State came into the game with their true freshman quarterback Drew Bledsoe. The swarming Husky defense pressured the young quarterback all game and the UW pulled away in the second half to win 55 - 10.
