Great memories of my own mean green machine. Kawasaki did not use the ZX-7R designation on a production machine until 1991, when it was applied to a race-homologation model produced in limited numbers.
I loved my 1991 ZX-7 With those pipes going into the gas tank the air induction i think it was called lol. Everyone wanted to ride my bike. Then I installed Vance & Hines exhaust system then took out the baffle it was so loud lol.
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures by any chance do you live near NJ? I Would be interested if you are within a 200 mile radius. God I loved that bike lol. Before my ZX-7 I had a ninga 750 think it was a 1989 lol.
Beautiful bike in honestly very good condition. I have an 89 and it was even more of a basket case with a totally unraveled wiring harness. Anyway, this was the bike in 89. I was racing a GSXR and can remember begging my buddy to trade me for my 88 1100 (which I still have). Lol Thanks for sharing the video of her!
I have been the proud owner of mine for the last 24 years done a full nut and bolt rebuild 5 years ago I have a couple of videos on my channel of the old girl good luck with the build be nice to see another H2 back on the road - ride safe bud
I was just too overwhelmed with other projects and didn’t really have an attachment with this bike. I sold it to a guy who bought one brand new as his first bike, I’m sure he is loving it.
I see below that you have moved this bike onto a fellow enthusiast.. I purchased just yesterday a really nice original H2 in gwb with 34k miles. I had 3 of them back in the day..love them. Definitely a classic bike now 💚 Cool video though my friend.. enjoyed that 😎
Yes, although I liked the bike it wasn’t something that I would have held onto. It was best to let someone else love it, but I wanted to hear it run first. Cool bikes!
I have had the experience of spraying brake cleaner down the inlets without carbs. It did fire and went straight to redline, because there was no throttle. I won't be doing that again! All the best from Ireland
Hey I just picked up exact same bike, is there any way you can take a pic of the coils / plug wire placement the guy I got it off of has everything screwed up
Good luck, I know a lot of Kawasaki parts from that era are no longer available from the manufacturer and they changed models often so they don’t cross.
Well Tom,, look at you go I suggest you fix it and make you some money.. because it probably will not cost you a lot,, and I would hope you could sell it for more than you will have in it..
Tom smales I have already sold this bike! I was looking at finishing it, but decided to pass it along to someone who wanted it more than I did. Thanks for watching.
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures well that is great,, by you getting it started I'm sure that really helped the other person take it on.. good for you and the other person..
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures I think I'm on the wrong country as well... hehe Did you restore it well in the end? I love those bikes, my dad had one exactly like it
