considering he spends just a day fixing each car (well tries to) he's got a whole week to edit! 🤣 absolutely mental work ethic jokes aside though i cant lie
If car is damaged by a dealer before registration then the insurance will still pay out, the dealer or manufacturer then register it for targets and registration counts..you must be 2nd owner unless you got a V55 to register it via a dealer or DVLA which does not sound Like you done...another great project mate
car was probably delivered on trade plates, so would be covered by company trade insurance. documents are usually signed at delivery. requires the owner to sign for car. i can't see the buyer accepting the car and acceptnig liability. in theory mat should be 1st owner.
One minute and already over 500 views. Damn ! Mat is fun to watch, and Tony is so great, dare I use the word adorable to describe him as many have already. They worked their asses off to get where they are, so they have earned any success coming there way. OK, let's watch the show !
100% it was crashed at a dealership with only 29 mile my guess is the rattle was being “investigated” on a road test and the techs wrapped it. They’ve then had a battle with Insurnace etc and potentially had to register it for that or to meet targets for sales etc.
31:06 Aston Martin dealer will have the car insured while they have possession of the car before it goes to the new owner. Maybe a staff member took the car out with trade plates and crashed it
29 miles!? Wow, I couldn't wait to see the car you bought... the DB12, one of my favorite cars! I think it will be a great addition to your collection!
The dealership likely has a separate compound where vehicles are first dropped off by the transporter. After a vehicle is delivered there, someone from the dealership needs to go to the compound, pick up the car, and drive it back to the main dealership. During this transfer, it’s possible that the person collecting the car lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash. The accident could have happened en route from the compound to the dealership. 100% what happend !
I know its a rebuild in 24 hours but the disadvantage of capturing these videos in such high quality is that you can clearly see some of the missed alignments. eg boot at 57:46. Still good work.
A mate bought a DB11 with the same mileage, as a cat. 40k in parts from the stealer, 15k from a breaker. It took 6 months to find them. Obviously they're not very careful at Aston Martin 😅
Might be a stupid question, but assuming the steering wheel had an air bag could that be creating a fault and not allowing it to start? Love the content, keep up the good work. All the best.
Brand new and already one for real build😱😱. Perfect. Aston martin has a record of every car they made, and because this is a new car. I think the dealer or factory can give you that info. The registered evething what has happend to the car before it ready to be delivered
Working on saving for my Porsche 911 or my Porsche 718 I don’t have the tools to build one so buying one and modifying it will have to do I hope you know you’re my inspiration for this Matt ❤
Hi matt, i love seeing ur videos. i was thinking about why the db12 was registered after the damage. I work as a technician here in the Netherlands and we use dealer plates which insures the car even if its not registered. So maybe the dealer or the technician who drove it had an accident while doing a test drive? i hope this helps!
Oh my god!!! My jaw dropped!! Like when i saw the insta story i thought it would be a normal 2010-202-smth car but a brand new DB12 was probably one of the last options i would've thought someone already crashed one???? bro how are people so reckless!! If mat decides to get rid of the Vantage, this is a perfect replacement (might even say a MASSIVE upgrade in terms of livability too)
The registered after the damage might be dealers plates (which aren’t tied to the VIN) and insurance. Then when it’s crashed the insurance registers it for the road to recoup a bit by selling it through the auction
