This was the 49ers 2nd win against Chuck Noll’s Steelers

I was barely 13 years old and I was a Browns fan since the 1986 “Drive” season. So, all I knew up to this point was success for Kosar and the boys. Five straight playoff appearances with three AFC title games (shoulda won two of those 3 and woulda beat the Redskins in the SuperBowl.) Anyway, 1990 was a terrible season for the Browns. They finished 3-13. Bernie was playing hurt most of the year. The O-line aged overnight and became turnstiles. The defense aged and the crumbled, too. Anyway, other than the stunning and “never thought it could happen” disaster for the Browns, the Barry Foster blunder is all I can really remember from the 1990 season. This is the first time I’ve seen this game since it was played.

This Steeler team had a great secondary. Not much else.
