1990s Peavey Rage 158 Silver Stripe Transtube Amp [Rock/Metal/Doom Sound Demo] 

I was wondering if a 10 would fit in there

@@obsoletemachinery absolutely if it’s this amp and newer (silver stripe or later like red stripe and 258 Chinese ones) I didn’t even enlarge the opening on the baffle and it being a solid state amp u can run a higher ohm speaker and not damage the amplifier I have a Jensen c10 8ohm speaker out of a fender Princeton and it opened the amp up so much. The eq is now extremely usable and honestly the only problem I’ve found is that it’s not as powerful on the clean channel anymore but I never used it anyway because I like lead channel with the pre at about 3-5 depending on my mood and I never take the post over 2 if I can be loud but I usually keep it a bit below 1

@@obsoletemachinery the teal stripes and older won’t fit a 10. now peavey was all about cutting cost everywhere possible so I bet they made a bass amplifier that has the same chassis dimensions… like what I did with my pacer I got it as just a head in a home made case and I saw a tnt that didn’t work but it was a perfect match to the pacer chassis so I know have a peavey pacer in a tnt cab with the 15 in black widow

@booitsnick funny, I just picked up a teal stripe, looked in the back, and wondered how much you'd need to route out of the bottom to make it happen lol. I think I'd rather try a weber mod or eminence than pull out the power tools...

The Rage 108 sounds a bit different than the silver stripe models, but you probably could get fairly close if you spent some time dialing it in.

Honestly the 108 is a 10 watt with a 8 in speaker so it would need more gain or boost because this is more watts Those 108s make great heads.
