I so love these old 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo XJs!! I am just dying to have one of these!! I have loved it ever since I was a teenager. My dad's ex-girlfrend used to own one exactly like this one. But the one she owned, was a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo XJ. It was the same make and model like this one. Then a few years later, she gave the vehicle to my dad. By the way, the horn sound I just heard, was pretty much the exact same sound on the 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. And thank you very much for sharing this video!! 👍 🙂
That is AWESOME! But I have a question about it truly being a 1991 model- I’m NOT trying to question your integrity by any means- but I question the validity of the year because I thought the 91 and up Cherokee received the new “H.O. 4.0 L” (HP increased from 177hp to 190hp) and the new H.O. 4.0L did not have the option for the “Power - Comfort”switch on the dash… I am NOT a Jeep specialist lol, but I did grow up in a “Jeep Family” and my father was a manager at a Jeep dealership for over 25 years back during this era and of course I have owned a few XJ Cherokee’s (‘89 model, ‘91 model, 95 model as well as a wrangler and Grand Cherokee) not to mention the Cherokee’s that my Mom and Brother have owned and I “borrowed” a time or two😉 - Again, really not trying to question your integrity or honesty, I ask in case there was some thing that I was, unaware of, like possibly a midyear change to the “H.O. 4.0L” or something of that nature. Power comfort switch was on all 4.0L engines from 87-91. I’ve had around 10 or so 91s all had power comfort mode. Jeep did away with the switch in 92 making all Jeeps there after in continuous power mode. And you’re right , 91 was first year Jeep ditched the old renix engine management system but didn’t change a thing with the trans , so the switch stayed one last year.
@@glengoodwin7860 I appreciate your response! and I couldn't stand it after I submitted my comment so I did an online search just a few minutes ago and you are correct, Jeep did install the switch in 1991 models but phased it out completely in 1992. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more of your content, got me drooling over the 2 door manual 4x4's lol
