Great video. Just one correction when they say at 3:00 that Kalle Grundel drove the 309 "Evolution" that he drove last season. This is not correct, in contrary this was the German debut of the 16v version "309 GTI16", which did not end well at all. So for fans of the 309: I guess what the commentator means with "Evolution" is the facelifted version of the 309, which Kalle debuted as SB-J 309 on the Rallye Deutschland 1990. However this was still the 8valves car as the 16v was not homologated until I think November 1990. For round1 of 1991 shown here Kalle then got again a brand new car, SB-L 309 built as a 16v. However, very unusually for Kalle, he crashed it so heavily in Niedersachsen that it took until round4 for this car to be rebuilt. In the meantime it was rounds2&3 (Sachs Franken and Peugeot Talbot Saarland rallies) where his 1990 facelift car SB-J 309 was converted to 16v.
A missed opportunity for Codies to add the G60 Rallye and VR4 to DR 2.0.. I mean, they should take notes from some sim racing games which keep adding more cars and stages instead of focusing to the new installment..
