Doug Drabek shoots a liner over Gant's head and goes for a triple. He gets gunned down, but that is a baseball player. Just because there's a P next to your name in the box score doesn't mean someone should hit for you. F the DH
FINALLY someone besides myself who HATES that lame ass DH shit! I call the American League the softball league because of it. The DH is a cancer in baseball & if the National League ever adopts that stupid ass rule, I will be SO DONE with it. And the sad part is, I know it's coming. At least we still have youtube where we still can watch the NON DH brand of baseball. Well, for a while anyways..... On the bright side I have a way of getting back at the DH shit. I play APBA Baseball & I have so many APBA sets there are too many to count, including a monster order I placed last year on my birthday. Sad part is, I spent the summer in the hospital going through one surgery after another. Let's just say it was a tough day at the office. But once I came home too the wife, I made up for loss time by looking through my treasure trove of season sets I had bought. And how did I get back at that DH crap you ask? Simple. No matter what year/season set I play, I use NO DH in the American League. The pitcher WILL BAT in the 9 spot in BOTH LEAGUES or anywhere else in the lineup but HE WILL BAT! NO EXCEPTIONS! If you don't want the pitcher batting, that's why there's that thing called BENCH PLAYERS! Baseball today is so screwed up, they are getting away from their ROOTS & TRADITION. DH? Instant replay? Only so many trips to the mound? And all that other BS is just that, BULLSHIT! Thank the baseball God's I'm not the only one who can see through it all. So yeah, I'm with you all the way 100%. F the DH. I'll stick with the old school style of play. Just saying.
I think the NL is set to adopt the DH permanently in 2022. And I am NOT happy. The Braves boasted of having good hitting pitchers. And in fact, if I'm not mistaken, those guys actually WANTED to bat and contribute to the offense.
@GRINGO BRONX Yea, I bet you're for pitch clocks, computer called balls and strikes and starting a runner on second in extra innings? Baseball is gay now
@@gringobronx7670Bob Gibson hit 10 home runs in his career. There's actually more than a few pitchers in MLB history that can make a difference with the bat.

Watched this whole series i was 24 yrs old. The season that turned everything around for Atlanta Braves from then on. Tim McCarver as a announcer was criticized for years but honestly he wasn't that bad.
There's no reason to believe that Bonds couldn't have broken out in the playoffs anyway because Bonds was already better than everyone without steroids in 1993, 1994, and 1996 but didn't get the opportunity to play in the playoffs any of those seasons. Bonds started using steroids in 1999 because he was 35 and virtually everyone else was. Anyone can struggle in a relatively small sample size. Bonds should have gotten to play in the postseason in his best non-steroid year in 1993 since his Giants won 103 games, but the Braves were still inexplicably in the NL West so he didn't get the opportunity.
