1991 Penn State vs West Virginia (10 Minutes or Less) 

I remember watching this game on VHS. I was living overseas and received care packages from home with Penn State and Steelers games. I would watch them multiple times to help with the homesickness which is probably why I have this one burned into my memory 30+ years later.. I vividly remember Paterno talking about the fake punt before half time. The team had enough mistakes in the first half for him to light them up in the locker room.

Kerry Collins, Kyle Brady and Bobby Engram were all young guns fighting for playing time during this game. Who could imagine the type of players they would become in 1994?

I was at this game. "In the shadow of Mt. Nittany," which can no longer be seen from Beaver Stadium. That's progress.

Back when Pennsylvania State was an independent. Also, this was the inaugural year of Big East Football.

How did WVU go from the 88 team to whatever the hell I just saw. That WVU RB for WVU murrell started for the AZ cardinals for several seasons! You’d NEVER see such a gaping difference in talent like that in college football today. Overwhelmed and smothered at every second of play. I’m utterly embarrassed for this 💔 of a WVU football team. They couldn’t even get crap points against the back ups. And this team two years later goes 11-0 two years later,btw. Insane! 😂

The last game in this great rivalry. They have not played each other since.

This team played a filthy schedule. They played @ Miami lost a slug fest 20-27. Lost @ USC 20-17. , Destroyed ND 38-24 And Tenn 42-17. Ended #3 in nation. A very good Penn State squad.
