I had a 92 617 done all the way up with twin pipes on it and a custom painted hood back in the day that I absolutely loved and it was a screaming demon!!!
Sounds like its running perfectly. I have the same sled, as well as many other PRS’s. These 617’s work good! Due to their short production run, the 617s are often thought to be not good engines. Very wrong assumption.
That same 617 Rotax in the Rotax light aircraft configuration has proven itself to be highly successful in aviation circles for a number of years now.u Could it be some other reason why you've had bad luck ?
I have a 1991 Ski Doo Mach 1 That I'm in the process of restoring! New seat cover and two hoods. Problem with Ski Doo Hoods from 91-94 is that the the cables to holds the hood from going to far forward was riveted to the where the headlight mounted, Unfortunately a lot of then have broken and you have to find a way to re-mount the headlight the right way.
