this is such awesome exciting coverage by the announcers. not sure if its the cars drivers or announcers, but watching izod on tv is nothing like this.
Emo pushed Michael out to the wall by trying to clear the pit in front of him! They had their gear out in the area where it’s not supposed to be! The rules have changed since then! Now they have to keep gear back behind the lines our they get into trouble with the stewards!
During the '91 celebrity race, tony Dorsett crashed in a turn, got out of his car & was waving at the crowd when Leeza Gibbons came around the same turn and just barely avoided smashing into Dorsett, the impact of which would definitely have very seriously injured TD.
This was where it all began for Paul Tracy. And in typical PT fashion it features an off track excursion and some unnecessarily aggressive driving (when he tries to get a lap back on Mario Andretti)
Pit-road shunt was Emmo's fault, plain & simple. He gave the car pitting in front of him far too much room, atleast 4ft between Emmo's car & rear tires set out for that cars stop. Just ANOTHER bad break for Mario's kid. As for Big Al's kid, damn that boy was great before he got blinded by the straw sticking out of his nose. Not bad mouthing Lil Al, I raced go-karts, won a National Championship before run'n off track after being blinded by the same straw! Proud to say I've been back on track since the mid ninety's & hopefully Big Al's kid has finally got back on track too 🙏
