I like that IndyCar is continuing to provide these classic videos on non-race weeks during the season instead of just during the offseason... But I do wish they'd look around at what people have already uploaded to RU-vid in decent quality and upload things that aren't already up(or are uploaded in poorer quality than they can provide). The harder to find stuff would be HIGHLY appreciated. I wonder if their archives contain any Trenton broadcasts?
Same here. Before they stopped uploading the classic race videos once the season begins but I am glad they are still uploading them on weeks their are no races. Always look forward for Thursday for this precise reason.
Not anymore they don't. It's been a few months since there's been a poll for any of the throwback uploads. Either that, or they've somehow managed to block me and everyone I know (who cares to go look) from seeing the polls. Even when they did have those polls, however, the options were quite limited and usually were all things that are already viewable on RU-vid anyway.
Its a trip just seeing shoreline park as a pile of dirt and the pike as we know it today not being there. The marina also seemed less packed with boats.
Rudy yup I'll be going Sunday only this year only for the race. the content has been shrinking every year. no celeb race this year, half the imsa teams don't participate in long beach, concerts have sucked since the merger. I agree it's hard to find a spot with a GA ticket. the turn 1 overlook has a hospitality tent now and you are not allowed to go into the area below by the restoration hardware due to "safety reasons". last year they blocked a small view by the tent on purpose with some tall metal carts. they are making it harder to want to go every year. almost better to watch on tv...almost.
I have to say, the can-am event they had on Saturday was pretty amazing this year. The sound, the smell, the vibrations you get inside your body were awesome. Also, the IMSA race this year was great since they had the new LMP2 based DP's and whatnot.
lots of flat tires, reminds me of that one race at the Indiapolis Motor Speedway, dont tyhink it was indy car though, but there they had MAJOR tire problems, so many that by the time everything got back to normal, well over half of the cars didnt continue the race, and think there were only like less than ten cars that did continue race, all of the rest of the drivers were too concerned that if they continued, they would get more flats, and when the the crowd saw that there were only a few cars that continued that race, that was one of the first times I have ever heard so much BOOING coming from the grandstands all because of the small amount of cars that continued the race....
