Late Night with David Letterman... I wish somebody would have told me not to have dubbed and redubbed all of my vhs tapes in case I would be sharing them with a zillion people...
I was Dave's Prom date at Broad Ripple and graduated at the same time. I think many younger girls would have considered him disconcertingly unconventional. The experience was "Different" - which in mid-60's Indianapolis parlance was a very ambiguous and ambivalent descriptor. But then, while Dave was often considered Different, he and many others also considered me Different. And I was, in many ways. We still correspond occasionally and I am very glad we met. I cherish many memories (most of them funny, some glorious!) and I hope he does too.
jane pauley has been my long time favorite people on earth but have never been able to remember her name! I have been a fan forever and its terrible to have that brain glitch that you cant remember her name! She is awesome!
Jane and her sister Ann in 1967 protested the Vietnam War over her dad's and Lyndon Johnson's objection. Hence, the no handshake. Dave still "sniping" about Jane marrying "Cartoon Boy." LOL
