Thanks so much for all these classic races. I love this channel. If I had to pick just a few RU-vid channels to have, this would definitely be one of my choices. Thanks again.
DAMON BRADSHAW WON 10 RACES THAT YEAR. SOMETHING THAT HAD NOT BEEN DONE AT THE TIME. AND YAMAHA WAS LETTING HIM GO AFTER THE SEASON. HE DOMINATED THE SUPERCROSS SEASON AND IN THE LAST RACE HE DIDNT EVEN TRY TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AT ALL. IF HE WANTED TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIO FOR YAMAHA, HE WOULD HAVE WON THE RACE. PERIOD. HE WAS PISSED AND DIDN'T GIVE A DAM AND DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO GET INSIDE THE SPOT IN THE RACE THAT WOULD HAVE EARNED HIM THE CHAMPIONSHIO. STANTON WAS A TRUE CHAMPION OUTDOORS AND IN SUPERCROSS. BUT BRADSHAW GAVE THAT CHAMPIONSHIP AWAY PURPOSELY. AND STANTON GOING AROUND WITH THE 1 FINGER STICKING UP BECAUSE HE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP ACTUALLY MADE HIM LOOK LIKE A REALLY POOR CHAMPION THAT YEAR. LOOKED LIKE A NERD RIDING AROUND LIKE HE WAS NUMBER ONE. AND YEA HE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP. BUT NOT BECAUSE HE WAS NUMBER 1. BECAUSE BRADSHAW HANDED IT TO HIM
Bradshaw's crash at Indy made all the difference. He only scored 2 points there when he could have easily scored 18 or more. Then all he would have to do is finish this race and he would be the champ.
This video focused on only Damon Bradshaw who was behind his set goal most of the race. Why was it pushing for Bradshaw and not Jeff Stanton who actually won the race and the title? That's weird as hell
he just did a race at Pleasure Valley Raceway PA with Travis Pastrana Mike Brown Doug Henry Mike Jones. its on facebook. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oTLeRJrSRU8.html
Dude the track was nothing but steep wall jumps and the rockers were mini jumps, there’s no way you can that fast on that track even with today’s bikes
justin cassidy Jean-Michel BAYLE GREAT CHAMPION, world champion motocross + US champion + ride ni grand-prix vitesse ni 250cc and 500cc THÉ GRÉÂT CHAMPION ( I’M not sure for my english,I’M french)
Lets face it. We had more talent with 2-strokes and technical tracks like this, (oh yea, we were the best in the world too.). It seems to be a catch 22 type of thing. I dug the bike competition development in the 70's to 1986. It was like a race in itself. But the 4 stroke is easier to ride, they make great power for hooking up to the ground, the pull a gear much longer than a 2-stroke, so the tracks got fast and smooth. It was all done so the EPA could push the 2-stroke out of the market (failed because the market is resilient, because it is our lives). My question is, if this direction continues of bikes getting easier and tracks getting easier (it is a different and more dangerous skill though- 30% faster), if bikes get as easy to ride as sitting in a Lazy Boy Recliner chair, will we all be bragging about how much skill we have?
He didn't have a bad day. He done it purposely due to YAMAHA already letting him go the next YEAR. If he would have wanted it, he would have won the race itself
The points were a joke. No fucking way you win 9 and another wins 3. And it's that close. Should of been 25 then 20 for second. Points bullshit to keep it close is bs. No benefit to winning.
@@JosephDredd31 yes... Jeff was hard working and driven competitor. To me that is not boring at all , as pressrolls states , It is very appealing and inspiring.
