Filmed over the two days, it covers the run to the lunchtime stop at the Punch Bowl Hotel at Lower Bentham and then on to Kirkby Lonsdale.
Sunday shows the main event in the Station car park at Morecambe. Lots of shots of nearly all the cars parked there during the day and the driving test in the afternoon.
At 25' 15" there is a shot of a Bond Bug. Not an unsusaul thing to see at a Bond National Rally but how many people there on that day knew that VLB 294M was the last Bug to be made and also the last vehicle to ever carry the Bond name? This Bug was last known to be in Hethersett, Norfolk but has not been taxed or M.O.T'd since December 1994. Anyone know what happened to it?

Fond memories of my dad's Mark D (I think). Bronze 2 seater, reg FCB12.) He had it around 1956-8 in South Norwood and carried mum and three children aged around 10, 6 and 2. We use to go camping at Polesden Lacey- Dad and I drove down in the Bond with all the gear and mum with the 2 other children came down by Green Line bus. It was eventually sold to someone in Middlesbrough who drove it home in a snowstorm. Happy memories.
