The after pictures seem to show the car still sits lower in the back. Typically shocks just resist the vertical motion, they don't really change ride height much. On these cars they had a ride leveling feature so they depended on the shocks holding air to adjust the ride height. I think you would have needed to swap out the springs to fix the problem or go with a manual fill air shock.

Please people don't add grease to your bolts! I understand what he's trying to do by protecting it from moisture. But you never put grease on the threads. Actually you should put locktight on it. You never want those bolts to back out. Also those are not the exact shocks for that car. That tube thats attached to the old shock the one he zip tied to the new shock. That tube is an air tube that supplies air to the AIR SHOCK. I mean it still will work. But for the right shock you won't have to zip tied the tubes anything. Also you know the part where he said you should put oil or grease or something down underneath the bottom where the spring seats itself don't put grease on that that's going to cause dirt and all that kinds of crap to stick to it I would recommend getting some of that black Flex Seal in a can and just spray it on there and it will protect it. Or don't do it at all because look at the age of that car it's from 1993 and there is not a spot of rust or anything where that spring seats so I would just leave it
