I am a Minnesota Vikings fan. I was at this game, sitting on the 40 yard line about 11 rows back on the 49s sideline. I actually brought my Canon 35 Millimeter camera and took pictures of Steve Young and Jerry Rice playing catch on the sidelines. I also took pictures of Dieon Sanders and Ricky waters. What a Great game.
I remember they had a commercial on the old SPORTSCHANNEL Bay Area. Where they had a audio sound of a car racing and all the 49er opponents they defeated in the 1994 season and it was tiny little speed bump sound effect when they lost to the Vikings in this game.
I vividly remember SF's late season/Christmas week Monday night games against Chicago in '91 and Detroit '92 but this one completely escapes my memory. Which is weird because it was Christmas Eve....
Detroit game is one this channel and it was Montana's last game in a 49ers uniform. It was several days before Xmas I think. They stayed away from XMas day from 1971-1993 There was only a few Christmas Day games before 2000 ever.
@@classicsports5057 The Lions game in '92 was the 28th. The Bears game in '91 was the 23rd. In '93 SF played the final MNF game of the season (vs Philly) for the third straight year but it was a week later, 1/3/94.
Unfortunately Steve Young & Jerry Rice played only two series with home field advantage secured and was like the preseason finale however that 1994 San Francisco 49ers winning their 5th Super Bowl trophy
