This is the theme music that abc used for its college football coverage from the 1994 to 1996 seasons. It is one of my favorite college football themes ever. I also love the the theme abc used from 1997-2005 before ESPN on abc took over. Someone else already uploaded the 1997-2005 abc College football theme music.
I have not been able to find the theme used before this one which was also great.

Damn, still gives me goosebumps to this day. As a Washington Huskies fan, I remember hearing this theme many times during the fall.

The original version of this epic theme, as recorded by the Michigan State band and used 1994-96, with versions of it used all the way into the early 2010s

A few great games with this theme music: Colorado-Michigan 1994 (Stewart to Westbrook hail mary) PSU-Michigan 1994 (Bobby Engram late TD, PSU's first ever game at Michigan) Florida-FSU 1994 (The Choke at Doak) Florida-FSU rematch in the Sugar Bowl (the 5th quarter in the french quarter) Florida-FSU 1996 All three Michigan-OSU games OSU-ASU Rose Bowl Florida-FSU Sugar Bowl (1996, Ike Hilliard's stop and pop) Texas upsetting Nebraska (first Big XII title game)

Colorado-Nebraska 1994: 200th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium. It took the rona to stop a sellout streak coming from 1962, even with the team being kinda trash over the last few years

I found it on Limewire. I think I got lucky one of these days because I was never able to find it anywhere else. I uploaded it to Rapidshare a few months ago.

The Spartan Marching Band was selected by ABC to record this theme. As for the composer, I'm unsure.

Its the Colorado Buffaloes' stadium. This was a picture from the intro when Michigan played Colorado in 1996. Michigan won the game 20-13.

WBRC-TV Channel 6 (then-ABC) Birmingham, Alabama in 1994 before moving to a new station known as Alabama's ABC 33/40 in 1996

ABC basically kept revising this and revising until and made different versions since they went to this one in 1994.

i love this theme thanks for posting btw my favorite wolverine game was in 2000 when nu coached by randy walker RIP BEAT MEEESHEGAN I THINK 51-45 anthony thomas future bears rb bust fumbled the ball one of the great games in college football history

I noticed that over the years when abc sports was still used. I'm pretty sure they used this exact theme from 1994-1996. It was from 1997-2005, where they played a heavily modified version of this theme. They played many revised versions of this from 1997-2005, but still used tyhe same basic theme which was a heavily modified version of this from 1997-2005 before ESPn on abc took over.

@crowley625 How do you know this. I did see a clip of the Spatan Band playing part of this music for the 1995 game against Michigan but it didn't sound quite the same as this? Did Anthony Dilorenzo also compose this theme? Anybody have a clue about 1990-1993?

This theme would have been perfect for Alabama football how they have been since Saban got there. Alabama went 12-1 only loss to Florida the year this theme debuted in 1994. The other 2 years it was used Alabama was good not great like 8-3 and 10-3 in 1995 and 1996. Then after this theme retired in 1997 Alabama went through a rough stretch from 1997 to 2006 with a lot of coaching turnover and bad seasons followed by some decent ones off and on until they got Saban and became what they have been the best program and a dynasty with 5 national titles the last 13 years.

DeAngelo Stevens I remember watching Auburn beating Florida in the swamp in 1994 as a huge under dog. Nobody beat Florida there in like two years.

After watching greatest seasons:1995 football on Big Ten Network, I thought to myself that Notre Dame's downfall started with that loss to Northwestern. They still had a good year but the next they declined a bowl game and they've struggled just to beat midlevel teams ever since. I really wish Notre Dame would swallow their pride and join the Big Ten. I think you could even make a case the Wildcats have been a better team than the Irish since 1995 (which is my lifetime of following sports).

@Dees Nuts yeah since I made that comment (12 years ago wow) Ive read that many consider the BC loss in 1993 to be beginning of the decline. They seem to have gotten back to being a good solid team that avoids letdowns but can't seem to crack the highest tier of Alabama and Georgia. (But then again nobody else does either.)

That sure was a great Northwestern team. If it weren't for a botched snap on a punt against a good Miami of Ohio team, they would have been undefeated at 11-0 going into the Rose Bowl.

My favorite college football team of all time. Nobody gave them a chance to do anything before that season. Barnett took the Purple to Pasadena and now Fitz carries on the same legacy today. Shame they couldn't stop Keyshawn Johnson that day and finish it off.

ESPN Sucks! They help ruin ABC Sports then they ruin them selfs. ABC College Football was Awesome! Reminds me of 1996 Noter Dame vs Texas 27-24 ND Wins.
