Sounds good. It's an easy MOD. I did not use the supplied harness's so now I have to go back and install them so the high beam light on the dash go out. I was told that if I just use the headlights that the dash light will not stay on but that has not happen yet. I will give it a little more time because they do not get used much. Thanks for the comment.
Great video! I did new headlights in my C4 and didn’t have to disassemble the whole cover or anything. I think you made more work for yourself. Nice result though. Cheers!
Thanks for you comment. Not sure what year it changed or if it did, but to get to the headlights I took off the covers. Just made it easier to see everything and only 4 screws extra for each one. I may have done it the other way on my 1996 C4 but I was working in my former garage with great lighting and even air conditioning. Need to get the shop built.
Thank you for the video and link for the lights. As of Aug 2024, they are still only $89.99. I have a 93 C4 and it looks like even us technically challenged can accomplish this easily. My headlights are out of alignment, do they still need to be adjusted after the LED's are installed?
You can adjust the lights yourself by the car facing a garage door or wall. Put some blue painters tape at what should be a good level and use the screws in the front of the headlight assembly while shining them onto the flat surface to make the adjustments. If you have a buddy with a C4 with proper headlight adjustments, his car could give you a good starting point.
wow thats crazy i got a 95 vette same color i bought the same lights and i got the same car port!! i put a tarp over my carport it developed a couple holes.nice car and vid!
Ha, just about the same thing here. Branches and whatever have poked a number of holes in mine and I was thinking about doing the same thing or getting a new roof for it. Does your hi-beam light on the dash stay on or how did you wire it?
They give you adapters and instructions on how to wire it properly. Only problem was I did not read that part before installation. I have not worked on it yet as I have three other videos that I need to edit and release. It will might be 2 months before I do the correct wiring. It really seemed very simple just wish I had paid more attention, and did it right in the first place. Thanks for your comment.
@@hemispherecars5616 thank you for answering my question. Just purchased a 91 and doing some upgrades as we speak and I really like the beam pattern of the lights you installed.
@@hemispherecars5616 haha yup went with reliability over the HP. 😂😂😂 By the way I don’t know if you had a chance to work on the lights but if you haven’t…don’t! Lol. I swapped mine, just like yours had the high beams light come on, went for a drive after cycling between the high and low a few times light went away and now it functions as it should. 😊
