Nice :) I had one of these when I was much younger. I can remember the original brakes were just awful. Thankfully V-brakes weren't far away. A revolution compared to the almost dangerous brake levers supplied with the bike at the time. I miss the DX Shimano thumb shifters. But like a young idot I got some X-ray grip shifters because they looked cool. The orignal tyres were I think 2.35 and were pretty much required for cycling off road in the lake district back then. Nice forgiving steel frame. Good times. Thanks for sharing :)
@@retrobikechannel2599 Some sweet neat welds on the frame. I think my UK version came with kona branded cantilever brakes. I think the ones on this one look Shimano and maybe STX ? Either way its great to see another one of the these bikes kicking around even after all these years. Thanks again for the upload :)
Hi, love the good job you have done and have a question. have you relplced the decals on that bike as they are not the same as my '94. just thought id ask as im mid restoration of mine and about to order a decal set.
