“Englands game plan was to go to Trinidad, no more than 1 down”. After 2 tests. The plan was to be 1 down. Glad clowns like Downton are no longer involved.
Threw Hick under the bus there Athers' A drop is a drop. Yours' was the easiest of the lot. A lollipop to mid off. No one knows how many a good batter will score after you drop them, And you dropped a good batter. Only luck meant that the batter Hick dropped scored more that day than the batter you dropped. But under the bus Hick goes....
Mike Atherton always struck me as a thoroughly ungracious character. His cheapening of Ambrose's QPO demolition(my parents were there........i was only three ) reeks of sour grapes. Congratulate the bowling. At least three of the deliveries, including yours would have been unplayable even if lara, tendulkar or waugh were the batsmen. Show some grace
@@warandpeace5034 QPO is very difficult to chase on. The pitch is even on the first 3-4 days. By evening on day four, it starts to misbehave. Thorpe's wicket is a perfect example. Another good reference would be WI vs Pakistan in the first test of the 1993 unofficial world test championship with pakistan. Barbados is another difficult wicket to chase on in tests.
