Thank you for the upload! So many gymnasts I had never seen before! The gym fans have always found Monica's commentary terrible, but always prefaced it as being "a different time". However, even with 90's attitudes in play, how the hell did she keep her job. Her commentary is terrible and it is incredibly inappropriate.
Mid 90s Monica strikes again. Also, has anyone noticed, she seems obsessed with getting the phrase ‘pre-pubescent’ in on every competition she does commentary on. Sick.
Okay...the body shaming _is_ bad...but it is the bloody ineffectual, misplaced confidence she has while saying completely incorrect things. The fact that you can literally pick any point in the video, and within 4 minutes of that point, she will have said something offensive or absolutely incorrect about the sport she is supposed to be an paid expert on. I was like 10 when this was happening and I would've been more knowledgeable and competent to call this competition.
Ya Monica is awful but I have been watching old competitions and the USA sports casters would always give the height and weight of the girls. In a sport that encourages eating disorders not needed, ever really.
