Man thank you so much for filming this video. I just picked up a 94 spx and I couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to remove the drive shaft outta the carrier bearing. I’m used to working on Yamahas so these seadoos are a whole new ball game I’m trying to learn
This was very helpful since I’m having the same issue on my 95 gtx and I ordered the new part but I’m having some trouble getting the carrier bearing off the driveshaft. I’m going to try to heat it up and pull really hard.
That random bogging could be your rectifier. Mines was doing the same thing even after a full carb rebuild. Once I replaced the rectifier it clear up and ran amazing.
It was actually the factory gray fuel was deteriorating and clogging up the filters inside the carb replaced all the lines rebuild the carb running right now
@@redneckengineering7739 awesome. Yea that should have been one of the first things to replace once you got the jetski. Those lines will make your day not so great when your expecting to go rip it.
Did you do anything the seal the pump when you re-installed it. Or did you just bolt it right back in. I pulled mine the first time and nervous it's going to leak.
Spin the prop and if there is no friction between the wear ring and the prop than the wear ring is worn out . The friction causes the water to jet out with no friction is just going to run like a hose
How did you get the drive shaft out of the jet pump my splines are stripped and i cant seem to get the drive shaft out of the jet pump it came out of the pto
The broken piece that you cut off is what the back hose clamp clamps around you are gonna sink again. I had this same problem and I used a vacuum cleaner pipe and some PVC primer and glue and made a new piece and it has been working for about 7 or 8 yrs now . Mark my words that chalking seal is gonna beak loose and you are going to sink.
Did you even watch the video! I literally replaced that plastic part with an aluminum piece! Come on now before you start talking crap at least know what you’re talking about
Redneck Engineering did it stop the water leak? You didn’t confirm that on the video. It was pretty good by the way. Does it sound like it cavitating? Might be loose impeller. Hopefully you filled the oil in the pump cone.
The real question you need to ask is will it run long most people can get these things running but they don't run long because they don't know all the ins and outs to check and make sure everything's right not only that some of them have to have Factory upgrades or they come apart as well I have been working on two stroke jet skis for over 20 years and they always say will it run the question is for how long
@@redneckengineering7739 well in Texas without a license that's called skip title which is illegal but anyway I just thought you might want to learn something for future reference dick face
