I remember in Alexander's autobiography. He was 3rd string running back and Riddle gets put out and 2nd string was sick, so they put Alexander in (who had no sleep from the night before) and he ran all over lsu.
Two college Greats...In Kevin Faulk and "Alexander the Great"!!! I watched Riddle and C. Alexander go down...and then The Freshman came in to smash some records!.. Greatness in the making that day! Love ya Shaun!
Agreed. Spurrier ran up the score on the best of them in those days and….well….its Bryant-Denny West when Bama visits. 🤷🏽♂️As I’m sure you know, Bama owned LSU in their house long before Saban. How do you go 31 years without beating a team in your own stadium? In my former passionate sports fan days, I’m not sure I could bear that. 🤔 Couldn’t have imagined how they felt losing the natty in Louisiana to Bama….in another shut out at that.

He went 70-16-1 in 7 seasons. That’s pretty good to average 10 wins a season back when they played 11 regular season games. Goss didn’t get much of anything on returns but he had great hands. He was there for sure hands.
@@chrisj7187 Disagree, the schedules back then were bad. Maybe 2 ranked teams a year. This team lost to a 5-6 MSU the next week. Players were out of shape, opposing rbs went 8-10 untouched, redzone penalties, 3rd and 15 and the QB is behind center, etc... Other than greats Samuels and Alexander, just not visually good football compared to where it is today.
@@cecilgrover8311 In the regular season? He played 2 ever year except for 91 (3) and 95 (1). For perspective, Saban played 7 in 2016 and then 3 more in the post season.
