@@huntertrum3658For broadcast producers, the idea of not having the score bug shown throughout the broadcast was to entice or force viewers to watch and wait for it the score to appear, ensuring longer viewing sessions and better likelihood of the viewer staying on the channel until the commercial break. Whereas for less competitive games viewers would be less likely turn away automatically since theyd have to wait for the score to appear only to be deterered from watching further.
@@lynnerose7891Interactive TV was supposed to address this where one would be given options to configure their broadcast presentation preferences, whether it be the scorebug, extra stats and info (e.g. bottom bar or additional sidebar), audio overlay, etc.
