Bob was a unique player... his lead playing was a very diferent style and his base...well awesome is an understatement... This band had more talent than most ..and always appreciated their fans . Even better, they had a great sense of humour and were a very down to earth group.
Just one fantastic group and one great performer on the guitar ( Bob Bogle )...you can have all the Michael Jackson you want...i would rather listen to Bob Bogle and The Ventures...thanks for the memories Bob...I will miss You !! Raymond....Pittsburgh, PA.
Bob Bogle was much more of an influence on Rock & Roll than he ever got credit for. His lead was the original Ventures' style, which had qualities that were never equaled. His guitar style was my #1 influence, as I’m sure it was for countless others. I was very lucky to have met him, watched him record, and to see him play live with the other Ventures (in the early 60s). Bob Bogle is one of the all-time great guitar men in terms of influence, taste, and skill. He is one of the immortals.
WDR, there is nobody who can play this as Bob (RIP). he played the tremolo to perfection. Still the best version of WDR. Bob had that unique touch to his playing. he is certainly missed by the other Ventures. Nokie, Gerry, Bob Spalding, Leon. God bless him. mos60
Brilliant as usual. Great playing and Tones. Why do the camera people always focus on the string picking hand and not the notes on the fretboard being played/ Still great..
Y allí esta el grande Bob Bogle (Q.E.P.D), demostrando que desde siempre fue la primera guitarra y también fundador de The Ventures, junto a Don Wilson.
so much of music since the 60's has been influenced by the Ventures . . . From heavy metal (black sabbath) to the few intrumentals done today. ALL their music had feeling.
Bob was great at dialing up a great warm tone on his lead songs. It's certainly more than playing noteson a fretboard. That Jazzmaster copy by Aria sounds good . All credit due to Nokie but he didn't seem to really have an ear for the tone or as some say color .I don't think he used reverb and always seemed to be twangy. Bob had an ear for great sound.
Raymond. You hit it right on. All those Rockers can not come near Bob Bogle. It's sickening to see those Rock guitarists with all the ostentation jump like a chicken without head with fancy guitars making more noise than a jet taking off. But man, play guitar not noise. Rest in peace Bob. You're more loved than you ever knew
Bob BogleはTHE VENTURESバンドの真の柱でした。 彼は私たちに音楽への愛と彼が属していたグループへの献身を残しました。 イタリアからおめでとうございます。 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z_DLTO3HI48.html 007 JAMES BOND (The Ventures)
All due respect to everyone but in my opinion Bob should have stayed on lead guitar. To quote Don Wilson "Bob and I are the sound of The Ventures". Bob was the original lead guitar player playing lead on the early hits.
