Pedro's makes a device that you can use with your current bottom bracket removal tool to hold the socket in place while you loosen or torque it. Best $15 I ever spent.
Canondale R700 is a 2002 model, no? I have a mint R600 and it is 2001 (CAAD 4). Anyway Moz, great video and I'm so glad you've stopped singing and have found yourself a propper hobby! "Punctured bicycle on a hillside desolate...."
Sorry been working to hard on the day job and not check in for a few weeks (no, not singing!) its a 1997 from the date stamp code on the BB shell. I think the R700 model level was produced for many years and many CAAD frame versions from what i can tell from the catalogues.
Hi sorry for the slow reply, been working too hard at the day job and not had a chance to check in for an age. At this stage im not selling the bike, i want to get a bunch of use out of it next spring. Thanks for the kind comments.
Cheers dude! Bit strange being yellow but I couldn’t resist bidding, I was very surprised that I won the auction for a low-ish price. I think the lack of post clamp made the picture look crap with the saddle all the way down so put people off.
1:50. FYI.. a real corncob rear cluster (also known as a straight block) would run in 1 tooth jumps. I.e. 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21. Years ago (in the days of 6-speeds) your lowest gear would be a 42x18! Gearing like this was only used for criteriums and very flat races.
Hello Moz do you have by any chance the reference of the bottom bracket cable guide ? Have the exact same frame and trying to build it from strach, thanks :)
