"Go like THIS, but be natural." Them making fun of the ridiculousness of photo shoots was a defining moment for me as a fan--even a fan who had a couple of those pinups. I appreciated their deconstructing of "teen idolness" in a way I didn't know how to articulate at the age of 11. I see now that it was their way of good-naturedly separating themselves as human beings from the commodification of their celebrity status without being douchey and sanctimonious about it, and it was the first time I felt like I saw celebrities and artists I admired as regular kids and human beings just like me. It made me realize I didn't want to participate in celebrity-obsessed culture. I didn't want to be the crazed, hyperventilating fan who ripped their shirts. I wanted to hang out with them and write songs with them and, ya know, maybe go on a date with Taylor, but only if he was interested.
I want to see their acapella of the mmmbop in the Sydney opera house they did in the middle of nowhere tour video soooo bad... I think I would really appreciate it now. They were prodigies.
Duuuudeeee!!!!O M G I used to watch this VHS with my Cousin ALL DAY EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! When we were kids, we were obsessed omg i love hanson so so much!!
My sister was the same, she would write Mrs. Zac Hanson in her notebook with little hearts. I like Zac as well but I wasn’t drawing hearts and writing Mrs. Zac Hanson in my notebook, I like him because he’s an AWESOME drummer he plays the drums so well, like a pro well that’s maybe because he is a pro. :) He was also so, so, so adorable at this age I loved the long hair on Hanson that’s probably where I got my love for long hair on boys from but I don’t like too,too long hair on guys but the Hanson length is perfect.
That's funny! I always thought I would be married to Isaac. One month ago, I was on their concert in Brussels. The more I stare at Isaac, I realize my husband looks like him...well, I guess law of attraction works, not always on youre way but more of lifes way.😊
You should upload the full version of Hanson Tulsa to Tokyo for people who don't have the DVD of it. I have the DVD but I don't want to watch it because the DVD now costs $70 to $100. So I don't want to scratch it or damage my copy of Hanson Tulsa to Tokyo in any possible way. Everything Hanson these days costs a lot of money because all Hanson merchandise are vintage now, like I can't even get a Hanson t-shirt without me having to pay a lot of money for it.
+mwinchester85 How you get this clip up and not have it taken down for four years? :) I'm sure if you state that you don't own this DVD stuff on RU-vid, RU-vid won't take it down. Give it a try it won't hurt. I personally would love to see the whole thing. Like I said before, even though I have a copy of the DVD I don't want to watch it for fear I may damage it and getting another copy would be impossible. I have a friend who lost her copy of the film and I know that Hanson fans like her would really appreciate it. Think about it.
I have the VHS tape still! This one and Road To Albertane. XD No idea if they still play, but I should break out the VCR this weekend and give it a try. :D Also, if you do upload it, it might not be taken down for copyright. :/ I mean, it's so old at this point and as long as you don't monetize the video(s) and let them play ads or whatever they want, it should be okay. :)
