The decal application is impeccable, and that is quite hard to do. The bike would be at home in the Metropolitan Museum of Fine Art in NYC. A beauty. Well done, guys.

That is one of the finest CR250's I've ever seen! Only problem is I wouldn't want to get it dirty!!! The late 90's were when the best 2 strokes ever were being built. Definitely the golden era of motocross bikes!

I don't understand why Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki ignore the demand for 2 strokes. A fuel injected 2 stroke would be out of this world.

I owned a 97 CR250. Took alot of work to get the suspension right, and we did. It was a monster. Best CR motor by far. Very fun to ride.

Had a '00 CR250 bought new. Was too fast be honest. I prefer the power characteristics of big bore 4-strokes.

Ronnie Mac just switched to GasGas because of the rarity of "Sreamin' Eagle" parts and no support from Honda. This is the ultimate Ronnie ride here. Give the Mac a chance to consider if he's interested in a beautiful [ "mega-buck" , I assume] Screaming Eagle from the wicked pissa's up in Connecticut!

It's hard to comprehend how special that bike is. Factories don't produce machines like that anymore (2 stroke) and in this case they never made them as nice as this to begin with. This will sell for a lot of money and it'll be worth every penny! Well done Kaplan crew.

Had this same bike engine done by Eric gorr and for the time had the best of everything. Only sold it to get a 2000 model. Badass one of the fastest bike I owned.

In 1998 i had a 98 cr 125. First year they had the aluminum frame on the 125. FMF fatty/shorty pipe. Man I loved that bike . Had my first daughter in 2004 and didn't ride as much. Sold it for 3000 and a 4 door car for a car seat.

It was a beast to race very unforgiving. The bad rep made '98 CR250 sales really bad. They gave away big toolboxes w/new CR250s. I had a '00 CR250. Basically perfected in that Gen. Was a beast. I like my 450cc 4-stroke better. Lol

A friend of mine had one these in late 1996 when they first came out. The thing was brutally explosive in terms of power and throttle response but was one of the most uncomfortable bikes to ride due to the rigidity of the first generation aluminum frame. It took Honda a few years to perfect it but the end result was something really magical , taking Ricky Carmichael to multiple championships and podium finishes in the early 2000s.

Absolutely beautiful build…primo bike!💪💥🤩 I have a 2000 CR250 that had a nut & bolt rebuild, bike looks & feels new…but not everything you’s did to this ‘97, but mine looks pretty sweet & super clean, and runs fantastic. I absolutely love the power my ‘00 has💪🔥😍 Anyway, GREAT job again Kap…Just GORGEOUS👍

I absolutely love the cr lineup from 89 to 2004!! I wasn't crazy about the 95 graphics with the purple, I remember buying a 93 kx80 big wheel because the cr80 had an awesome motor but the chassis just wasn't up their with the other bikes in its class.

First time i ever saw a cr 500 i was 8 or 9.. I remember it looked huge and scary.. The old cr emblem on the seat.. Thing was loud.. Since then i wanted one.. Parents wouldnt even get me an 80 back then to dangerous lol just made me want one more..

I picked up a 2000 cr 250 last Friday, and it’s bad to the bone!!! I beat my buddy’s 22 fc 350 yesterday on holeshot, mind you probably need a better rider on it but he knows how to ride. Was doin 3rd gear hole shots on it was trench diggin yesterday. Point is things a damn animal. I’ve never ridden something so nasty and fun it’s fast.

Nice looking CR250! I had a '99. Do you guys mix 40:1? I did and mine drooled oil out the muffler and onto the rear brake caliper. Only fouled a plug once, so plug fouling was not an issue but in retrospect, I think I should have tried less oil in the gas because all the messing around with jetting I tried never fixed the oil drooling issue. A friend of mine said he mixed 60:1 on his Kawasaki 200 for trail riding. I was too afraid of seizing it up, so I just always kept it 40:1.

40:1 is the way to go. It’ll oil up heaps if you don’t ride it often & that can foul the plug. But yep you’re doing it right
