In this video, we take you through the detailed process of removing the original factory 5-speed transmission from a 1997 Mazda Miata.
Follow along as we:
1. Remove the center console to allow the shifter to drop.
2. Detach the Power Plant Frame (PPF).
3. Remove the starter, master, and slave cylinders, along with the hard lines.
4. Unbolt the transmission and use a specialized transmission jack to safely lower it.
5. Remove the pressure plate, clutch and flywheel
