some things to note: The third goalkeeper was greeted by an incoming ball the moment he got the signal to turn around, whereas the other two had more time to catch the balls after turning around. Also, the shots onto the goal for the first goalkeeper, where much closer to him, whereas the third goalkeeper had to really jump to catch them. Maybe the first goalkeeper could have done the same thing if he was put into the same situation, but lets say it like this: the third goalkeeper had to do alot more to catch the balls, this first goalkeeper had to do less, but he managed to catch them all perfectly and made it look easy too. So if you were to ask me, i would say both of them are pretty darn good, could be equal. But in this video, the third goalkeeper looked more impressive to me, as his challenges looked harder to me.
It's kinda egregious at this point. The other people in the video only get the call out after the person kicking or throwing the ball starts to do so. For him, they just don't even begin until after he's turned around.
A ball bouncing in front of you like that is much harder to save well compared to a direct kick. The pro knew what he was doing when he bounced it haha
The first guy was the best; not because he got all three but because you can tell he is seasoned by the way he caught them. He's precise and accurate and confident.
As a goal keeper on my school.. my team is always blaming me if a missed one ball.. I wanted to do my best but my classmates are making me hate football..
bro I know how you feel because my lil bros a goalkeeper as well, I js want to tell you that you shoudlnt give up if you really love goalkeeping. A year ago my brother was the third keeper of a division 3 club (Under 12 grade), now hes the first goalkeeper of a division 1 champion (under 12 grade). Just want to tell you heads up, try to change small things. Those small things might just be as small as the steps you take before a dive or the catch technique but if you master those small mistakes the pitchs yours mate
When you turn it should be one motion into your set position and dive to the ball. The shuffling of the feet is not teaching you to set and then reset properly for maximum push off to cover the distance and improve reaction times. Even the best can improve
A keeper that still catches the ball instead of deflecting it! Cool. In my day we always tried to catch a shot but most keepers stopped catching shots and started to deflect the ball in case they tried to catch it and dropped it right in front of goal where a striker might put it right in the net.
I don't know much about soccer but the last one seems to be the most impressive. He knew where the bar was and decided not to block the ball last minute which saved him from a possible injury.
the last guy turned as the ball was kicked while gino turned before, making it easier to stop, and the 1st guy kinda had a mix of both before and while
Is no one gonna talk about how the 2nd keeper got the only bounce shot of the 9? 3rd keeper also had a shot on the woodwork that counted towards his 3 attempts, all of them are great, just surprised nobody mentioned this😂
Both pros turned their heads before their body turned helping them get a better read. They both were also on their toes and first pro even turned “step step” in stead of a “hop step.” The details
