Oh man the nostalgia. I’m seriously about to cry. Used to watch this every day as a kid and dream about being at Disney world. Life was so much simpler.
you prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my brother lately =)
The world was a better place then. The people seemed and looked so put together. There was an innocence, moral, class, respect and family environment. The world and people today have lost all of that and added trash. We’re lost
I agree...we went last year and the firework show at MK was nothing but a sea of people holding up phones and iPads recording it. No one lives in the moment anymore....it was quite sad
I use to watch this like everyday when I was younger and this was the first year I ever went to Disney. My first time seeing the castle it was a cake lol
I was 10 years old when I went to WDW and it was during the 25th anniversary! I remember seeing the cake and all the amazing memories. I haven’t been back since 1997. My fiancé and I are going for the 50th and it will be so magical to see the difference as an adult.
I still have the physical copy of this video. When I was a kid I always wanted to to Disney World. Then when the video came through the mail. I was shocked and jumping for joy and cheering that we were actually going to go to celebrate Disney World's 25th Anniversary. I still have those memories branded into my brain of all those wonderful times I spent there. I am still happy that I went there as the 90's was a big staple in my childhood
This is the REAL Disney MAGIC...when it still brings tears to your eyes after all these years....the Disney now does not have the same affect. I’ll always love Disney...but it’s definitely not the same. I would love for my kids to know the Disney in this video.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched this VHS tape I would say about maybe 10 or 15 times when I was young. I went to Disney World with my mom dad my older brother and my grandparents in September 1997. I remember being scared and crying at the lion King animatronic show and they had me sit outside and til it was done. I remember going on honey we shrunk the audience, Space Mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, the Thunder Mountain Roller coaster among others. Id love to save up and go back to Disney World someday. Thank you for posting this video on RU-vid now I can watch a couple hundred more times
Growing up in the 90’s and early 2000’s and going to Walt Disney was a honor and a privilege. Looking back on it, it truly was the greatest time in Walt Disney World. It’s still the greatest place, but it was on the come up back than.
This video brought back so many great memories of my families visit to Disney in 1997. One of my most memorable vacations and happiest memories of all time. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I used to watch this over and over before I went to Disney World in 1997. It was a good motivator that got you excited for when you eventually visited!
I've dreamed of a Walt Disney World vacation when I was little but my mom always said no, especially since my dad was a full-time workaholic. My dream wouldn't come true until I was 18 years old.
#throwbackmemories My family and I had this video, when we went in 1997! The 25th Anniversary was longer than a year. I only wish they had Fast Passes back then! I also wish they still had Alien Encounter, even if not in Tomorrowland! Thanks for posting! :)
I was there memorial Day weekend in 1997 I was nine years old at the time. I loved how the castle looked when I was a kid. My family and I went again in 2003 during the summer, but we haven't been since so hopefully we'll be able to go in April 2020.
Why does the 25th look light years better than the 50th. I wish I was old enough to remember going back then. They’re getting close to ruining the longevity and nostalgia of parks now
Disney Parks has a 25th Anniversaries 1. Disneyland CA (1980) opened 1955 2. Magic Kingdom FL (1996) opened 1971 3. Epcot FL (2007) opened 1982 4. Tokyo Disneyland JP (2008) opened 1983 5. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Pleasure Island FL (2014) opened 1989 6. Disneyland Paris FR (2017) opened 1992 That's 6 Parks celebrated 25 years from 1980 to 2017.
it is possible they had not yet updated their copyrights for 1997 when this was made or it could have been the timing of when the video was made (early year). the pamphlets inside the movie case are all dated 1997. Also, 1997 was the full year in which the castle was made to look like a cake.
+RoadRunnerCoyote16 This is the "standard" video, meaning this is not the adults only version. This is the one that was sent out when the adults only version was not requested.
+RoadRunnerCoyote16 Just wanted to let you know that coming soon to my channel/playlist, I will be uploading the adults only version of this planning VHS!
